In Person Event Bonuses

Networking Potential

Coming to the in-person event means that you can interact with the other delegates including speakers and CCP4 developers and ask questions outside of the programmed events in a more relaxed setting.  There is also the opportunity to enlarge your network of others in the MX community.

Lunchtime Bytes

The lunchtime byte sessions are a chance to hear from and ask questions of the developers of the various software applications included in the CCP4 suite. Everything from image processing with DIALS through to refinement and ligand fitting with Refmac and Coot, as well as how to make the most of CCP4’s graphical user interfaces for the full structure solution pipeline. These sessions will take place in the breakout rooms during the lunch break on both days of the meeting. Note that these are exclusively in-person sessions and will not be available online.

Social Programme

Student Poster session at Networking event

Once again, we will be having a poster session during the networking event on Wednesday 6th January 2027 providing students with an opportunity to present their research to the wider crystallographic community.  Posters need to be in portrait in orientation and A0 in size.  Posters that are predominantly pictures are best as you will be able to talk to delegates during the mixer.

There will be prizes sponsored by Dectris for the best posters as judged by our panel of judges.

Board Games café, Ceilidh and Dance Mat Video games

On the evening of Thursday 7th January after the conference dinner, we have the return of the Boardgames Cafe alongside the ceilidh by “Knitter’s Jig”. Bring your own games or take your pick from the selection provided. A perfect way to get to know some new people or catch up with old friends. We will also have Dance Mat Video Games in one of the break out rooms
